The University of Pretoria is looking for a full-time Junior Maintenance Officer for their Tukssport Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent will be responsible for: Preparation and maintenance of TuksSport facilities for sporting events and junior programmes; Safekeeping and administration of sports equipment, furniture and inventory; Messenger for the TuksSport Facility office; Venue access, floodlight control and event venue preparations.  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12  Valid driver’s license At least three years of experience in the following areas: Sports facilities maintenance General administration 
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES): Basic electrical knowledge; Basic plumbing knowledge; Basic technical maintenance skills; Proficient technical knowledge of facility management operations and procedures; Computer literacy; 
ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES: Certificate in facilities maintenance Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Certificate in Basic Life Saving  Certificate in First Aid One year of experience in the following areas: Occupational Health and Safety requirements in a facility management environment o Sporting events administration  The annual remuneration package will be commensurate with the incumbent’s level of  appointment, as determined by UP policy guidelines.
