A leading multinational destination management and traveling giant seeks an experienced Group Financial Manager, with strong management experience, to join their finance team.
The successful incumbent will work from home, and be required to travel into Africa at least once a quarter.
Duties & Responsibilities
Job & Company Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for all finance functions of global entities.
In this role, you will support senior management by offering insights and financial advice, in strategic planning and analysis that will allow for best business decision making.
This role requires an incumbent who has experience with a matrix reporting structure, as well as managed subordinates within various foreign countries.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Full accounting function for group (South Africa and other African countries)
- Tax compliance for all companies (local and foreign)
- Compiling financial statements
- Monthly management accounts
- Payroll for South Africa and Zimbabwe
- Monthly board reports
- Budgets and forecasts
- Monthly inter-company transactions
- Banking (loading and releasing payments)
- Managing trust accounts
- All finance administrative functions
Education:
- BCom Degree in Finance or Accounting
- CIMA / MBA / CA(SA) / SAIPA qualification will be preferred
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles
- 5 to 10 years post articles experience in a group level finance role
- Hospitality and Tourism, or Fleet Management industry experience essential
- Strong management experience
- Proven experience with a matrix reporting structure, managing subordinates within foreign countries
- Proven experience in multi-country tax
- Strong Sage or Pastel skills
- Excellent reporting skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Deadline driven
