Games Global: Graduate Internships 2024 / 2025.

The Games Global Graduate Programme provides 12 months of valuable on-the-job training to graduates who are eager to initiate their careers within the IT industry. 

This experiential learning programme is an excellent opportunity for graduates to jump-start their career development while gaining valuable knowledge, skills, and experience in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Duration:

12-month Graduate Programme starting from January 2025 to December 2025. At the end of the programme, there are opportunities for absorption into permanent roles at Games Global.

Responsibilities

As a Graduate Graphic Designer, you will immerse yourself into a year-long journey, getting hands-on experience with the core functions of a Graphic Designer at Games Global. You will have the opportunity to apply your technical skills while accessing comprehensive training and development.

The graduate’s main value-adding area will be in Games Marketing. You will contribute directly to ensuring marketing assets are available across our large variety of games and branding materials provided for internal and external events, whilst gaining firsthand experience of various design-centric career paths in Games Global.

  • Assist with digital design of marketing assets for real products.
  • Assist team to create presentations for stakeholders.
  • Assist with creative internal branding and communication.
  • Get to know the games landscape via learning sessions and competitor research.
  • Introduction to the software development lifecycle from a marketing point of view, definition of RTP, different game types.
  • Exposure to advanced game design, illustration and animation across all studios.
  • Buddy up on Marketing services to understand the type of queries that this role receives.
  • Present adopted methodologies and outcomes to key stakeholders.

Requirements: 

  • Be a Graduate or Final-Year Student when applying
  • Have an average of 70 % and above in marks from first year to final year
  • South African Citizen
  • Under the age of 35 years
  • Interest in the world of gaming
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Candidate should be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
  • Some experience in Premiere Pro and After Effects is preferred but will be expanded upon on the job.
