Introduction
A well-established multinational Financial Services company operating in the insurance sector is seeking a finance graduate to develop into a Portfolio Manager / Key Account Manager and join their growing team. The role is to ultimately assume responsibility for service delivery to, and retention of, clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Learn, develop, and build experience in the Insurance Industry.
- Understand client needs and priorities and ensure their needs are met.
- Drafting/review of all insurance related matters for client Board meeting packs.
- Presentation of insurance related matters to internal Directors and internal and external business partners.
- Develop business plans and monitor results of all action plans and effectiveness of plans implemented.
- Drafting/review and presenting weekly and monthly reports.
- Review processes, design and implement process improvement and optimisation and the ongoing management thereof.
- Completes or assists in completing any other projects or work as assigned by the internal Directors/management team, delivering to any set timescale agreed.
- Collectively develop high-level plans and sub-target plans for the team.
- Build wide and effective networks of contacts inside and outside the organisation.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification: B.Com Honours degree, B.BusSci degree. Qualified CA (SA), Nearly or newly qualified Actuary, ACII, MBA,
- Strong business acumen and pragmatism.
- People management principles and practices
- Strong communication skills.
- Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a team and knowledge-sharing environment.
- High levels of attention to detail and numeracy.
- Task and due date orientated.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- High level of computer literacy and MS Office skills
- An interest in data analytics is advantageous.
