Our company is looking for a Security Operations Control Room Manager to be responsible for managing the Virtual Security Operations covering the SOC Team, and Security Operational service delivery function.
Portfolio of responsibilities will include managing the SOC Team and providing overwatch of the Field Security Operations and Client Service Delivery to ensure the Service Outcomes for customers are met within Service Level Agreement expectations.
Requirements:
Have experience as a Technical / CCTV Centre Manager.
Have strong management, administration and communication skills
Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
Grade A PSIRA Certificate.
3 – 5 years relevant work experience
Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, CCTV).

The Security Operations Control Room Manager will be responsible for leading how the SOC team will monitor, identify, analyze, report and react to filed security operational SLA failures, ensuring compliance, security safety, and life safety threats by using Mzansi Securifire virtual disruptive solutions that include:
- Branch CCTV, access control
- Mobile digital paperless workforce technology (NFC Patrols, electronic incident reporting, checklists, PTT and messaging) ,
- MIS web portal (Easy Roster EDRM, Instacom, Wed Fleet) and
- CiiMs (Online Intelligence – paperless reporting, digital SOP’s, SLA KPI Dashboards etc) platforms adopted and deployed.
Security Operations Control Room Manager is responsible for:
- Working together with filed operational teams, Shift SOC operators and approved vendors to address security incidents and events quickly – and resolve these within SLA.
- Supervise the Shift SOC Operator team, ensure all technology hardware is fully functional, provide technical guidance, and manage SLAs.
- Oversees the activity of the SOC Operator team, including on-going training /certification and assessing staff adhere to performance management and disciplinary processes. .
- Additional responsibilities include creating processes, assessing incident reports, client KPI SLA Dash Boards, Clint Reports.
- Create compliance reports, support the audit process, measure SOC Operator and equipment performance metrics, and report on security operations to Mngt.
- Process map and oversee on going housekeeping (on boarding new clients etc) defined incident response plans, workflows, and standard operating procedures SOP’s for the Security Operations
- Act as the escalation point for all security incidents that require attention and timely responses.
- Focus on escalated events, coordinate response, triage and escalation of security events affecting customers’ assets and activities with Filed Operations First Responder Incident Response team.
- Dashboards, Reporting and actionable metrics that include KPI’s, monthly reports, threat advisories and tailored metrics specific to incident response and threat monitoring efforts.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify, detect and prevent security threats the customers may face.
- Oversee the alignment of incident management processes between the SOC and Field Security Managed Services operational teams.
- To ensure all equipment in the iCentre is fully operational and report all faults to the relevant technical support structure.
- Analyse all signals received during the previous shift and report findings.
- Review controller reporting for previous shift on Online Intelligence, follow up and action where required.
- Check and ensure the capturing of incidents on Online Intelligence web server on each shift 7 days a week.
- Manage and maintain false alarms (environmental, client interaction and schedules).
- Creating client profile on Listener for all new clients from the client information document and maintain all profiles.
- Monitoring/tracking of company vehicles and tracking devices.
- Daily reporting of occurrences.
- Reporting of irregular activities.
- Communicating with drivers and controllers.

- To ensure standard operating procedures are always followed.

- To provide the needed training based on performance.
- To provide training for SOC Operators, Filed Mngs and completion of training registers. Remote training to be recorded and saved per Teams / Zoom session.
- To assist controllers with after hour support via company cell phone.
- To monitor access of personnel and respond to breaches.
- Review all incidents, which occurred during a shift, to ensure that all information is captured and recorded within the guidelines.
- Written reporting to clients on all incidents within a 12-hour period.
- Reporting to clients on a weekly basis on Al performance and incident summary.
- To ensure integrity of the security systems is maintained. Spot checks on cameras that need cleaning.
- To comply with data protection guidelines regarding disclosure of personal and confidential information held on the security databases.
- To maintain a key element of the Control Room function by utilizing the technology available to ensure that as far as possible the client sites, branch remains secure, and any suspicious activity is noted and communicated in line with standard operating procedures.
- To ensure chain of command is always followed.
- To ensure the filing is completed during the day.
- To ensure the handover takes place on time and accurately every shift.
- Any other duties deemed necessary to the post.
- To report on duty via Online Intelligence as well sign in the register.
- Report hourly on Online Intelligence regarding the status of all clients.
- To monitor and operate CCTV monitoring platform, Listener, Online Intelligence and Sniper as well as future platforms. Respond to incidents as quickly as possible.
- To conduct a patrol of the premises using CCTV internally noting results in the Daily occurrence log. Log all job cards on Listener.
- All incident information to be logged and captured accordingly (Monitoring platforms i.e., CCTV monitoring platform, Listener, Snipr).
- To ensure work area is always kept clean and tidy.
- To ensure any queries in the first instance are referred to the iCentre supervisor on shift.
- To ensure each shift handover of any outstanding work and that all systems are logged off before leaving.
- To ensure active communication at changeover, briefing to ensure awareness of any matters pertaining to the smooth effective running of the shift.
- Respond to incidents as quickly as possible.
- To ensure all incoming telephone calls are answered in a timely manner.
- To ensure that all escalated alarms are actioned in a timely manner.
