SPAR, one of South Africa’s largest and most trusted supermarket chains, has launched a major recruitment drive offering 70 learnership opportunities for unemployed youth. Applications are now open for the SPAR Learnership Programmes 2026/27, providing valuable skills development and workplace experience.
SPAR Learnership Programmes 2026/27 – Now Open
The SPAR Group is inviting applications for two accredited learnership programmes based at the SPAR North Rand Distribution Centre.
1. National Certificate: Transport Operations (NQF Level 5)
This learnership is ideal for unemployed youth interested in building a career in logistics, transport, and distribution operations.
Learnership Details:
- Duration: 12 months
- Location: SPAR North Rand Distribution Centre
- Number of learners: 20
- Includes structured theoretical training and practical workplace experience
2. National Certificate: Supply Chain Management (NQF Level 5)
This programme focuses on developing skills in supply chain and distribution management.
Learnership Details:
- Duration: 12 months
- Location: SPAR North Rand Distribution Centre
- Number of learners: 50
- Combines classroom learning with hands-on industry experience
Minimum Requirements for SPAR Learnerships
To qualify for the SPAR Learnership Programmes, applicants must:
- Have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
- Be currently unemployed
- Not be registered for or studying towards another qualification
- Be between the ages of 18 and 34
